FROM THE BACK OF A MOTORBIKE

Players have contacted me many times asking for photographs from their playing days. Up until now they have often struggled to find a high-quality selection of pictures that they want from one source.

Now I have the solution. ‘From the Back of a Motorbike’ is an easy access archive of rugby union photographs from 1980 – 2000. Thousands of photographs that no-one has seen before can now be searched for, found and acquired.

None of these photographs can be found anywhere else, they are unique and the giclée prints are superbly presented, every bespoke photograph signed by the photographer and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Whether you want one beautifully presented giclée photograph of a key moment in a special game, a small collection of magnificent looking photos in a folio box, or a beautifully presented photograph album with scores of photographs, this is the place to find them.

700 rugby games, 1700 films upwards of 50,000 frames, probably the premier, independent, Rugby archive of the period in existence.

Go to the 'Find your image' button to the top right and put in the name of the player you are interested in, and start selecting those photographs right away.

If you can’t find what you want (only a percentage are currently available, more will be added weekly) then please get in touch via the contact page.

Pete Jenkins

Rugby has always been an important part of my life! As a small child I remember watching the rugby on television with my father. I started playing rugby at school, and then at my local club. Photography came a few years later; however it seems almost inevitable that they would come together, which they did before I left my teens.

I sold my first rugby photo to a newspaper whilst I was at school, and within ten years I was one of the most prolific rugby photographers serving Fleet Street Newspapers.

Travelling to and from rugby matches by motorbike (hence the name of the archive), sometimes as many as four games in a day, was the standard for twenty years. Many of these photographs are now available for you to see, and to buy. More pictures being added to the archive every week.

If you have a special project you have in mind, want to find pictures of a specific player, or want to discuss something special, then please get in touch via the contact page.
